Jasper is an opaque variety of silica, usually red, yellow, brown or green in color depending on the mineral content of the original sediments or ash. Many jasper variations have specific names and we try to refer to them if we can identify the stone correctly. Jasper is our favorite material for gemstone jewelry because of the infinite variety of colors and patterns available.
